My 8 year old adores this series and was thrilled when this book arrived. Another cute adventure with narwal, jelly, and waffles, sure to delight young readers as they adventure together under the sea. Not quite as cute and engaging as the first, but my my kid said it should get 1000 stars out of

five.

I had trouble reading this book at first. However, that's because as soon as my daughter saw it, she would barely let me read it myself. Fortunately, after she went to bed, I was able to actually read it, and I enjoyed it. Clanton returns with a new volume chronicling the adventures of a narwhal
Show More
and his pal, a jelly fish. This time, though, they take on the role of super heroes; but not in the way you might expect.

This book has cute illustrations, lovable characters, quaint stories and wonderful sea creature facts. The bit about the mimic octopus itself was great.

If you have a little one who loves animals and wants to learn more about those that live in the sea (amid some silliness for good measure), I highly recommend this book as well as its predecessor.

A super cute graphic novel for young kids about the adventures of Super Narwhal and Jelly Jolt. Told in small vignette stories, this is the story of two underwater friends who help each other, amuse each other, and discover their super powers. Ben Clanton's cartoon-like drawings are graphic and
Show More
anime-like, and he uses funny puns and kid humor to great effect.

Amusing, but it lost some of the novelty of the first book in the series. Narwhal and Jelly want to become super heroes, but have a hard time deciding on what their powers might be

Pitch perfect early reader and graphic novel! Funny, clever, adorable and highly appealing. Love the litlte non-fiction facts dispersed throughout as extra charm. Can't wait for more!

Friends Narwhal and Jelly are visiting when Narwhal decides to be a superhero. Jelly quickly realizes that Narwhal needs some features to be a superhero, such as a costume, name, secret identity, sidekick, and most of all a superpower!

I think waffles are MY super weakness too!

Narwhal and Jelly are back, and they are exploring the idea of being superheroes! Again, super cute - both the artwork and the story! And we get a little extra in here - Super Waffle and Strawberry Sidekick versus a giant butter blob! Really, what's not to

love? Can't wait for book #3!

This book is about Narwhal, who decides he wants to be a superhero. Unfortunately, he discovers that he doesn't have a superpower. Throughout the book, he attempts to discover his power and have fun along the way.

I found this a very cute graphic novel for early readers. I can just imagine 1st and

2nd grade students laughing at the jokes told in this book and trying to determine their own superpowers. I'd recommend it to anyone with kids who are learning about kindness or being a good friend.

Yay! So happy for a second Super Narwhal and Jelly Jolt book. This sweetly surreal book about two friends is a fun, light read for the students in class. Silly and positive, the book always shows them negotiating their way through situations and misunderstandings with good humour and clarifying

communication.

First word my almost-five-year-old said when I showed him this book a week ago was “Awesome”! We have read it every night since! This is a cute, silly and positive story about Narwhal and Jelly who decide to become superheroes. Narwhal doesn’t have a super power in the traditional sense, but
Show More
he ends up finding his superpower is being a great friend (and isn’t that what we all need). The illustrations are simple, yet so endearing. There’s also a funny extra story about a super waffle and his strawberry sidekick saving the world from a butter monster. My Pre K aged son loves this book so much we had to take the first one out of the library and I think that’s the best endorsement you can get from a kid! Great beginner graphic novel!

I received a free advanced copy of this book from the LibraryThing Early Reviewers giveaway in exchange for an honest review.

This is such a cute book! The book is comprised of about 5 little cartoon/comics featuring Narwhal and Jelly. In book #2, the duo want to become superheroes, and they go on to discover what makes them “super”, and how they can help others be “super” too. This has a positive message for
Show More
young readers, and is sure to become a smashing success in the elementary schools! Thanks Early Reviewers!

As an elementary library tech, I can tell you that students in 3-5th love this book and this series! The illustrations are delightful and the story is hilarious.

This book does not stay on the shelf. I added it in August and it's already been checked out 15 times.

I was astonished to find that the first Narwhal and Jelly book beat out some amazing books like There's a Bear on My Chair and A Unicorn Named Sparkle to win our school's Texas 2x2 contest this year.

So I had to seek out the next book.

And what a delight it is.

Okay, here goes (and this is big):

First, I received this book from the publisher through a Library Thing early reviewers’ giveaway in exchange for a review.

This picture book is about two friends, a narwhal and a jelly fish. The book is a bit of a departure for a picture book as it has a table of contents indicating that there
Show More
are five sections to the book. The narwhal decides to become a super hero and enlists his friend the jelly fish to be is sidekick.

The book is set up like a graphic novel or comic book with some pages having multiple panels. The colors and the pictures are beautiful. I really enjoyed the book. I found it visually pleasing. I liked the pictures, the words and the little life lesson that it included.

So much fun! I love Narwhal and Jelly. In this one, Narwhal discovers his super power and it is truly super. He’s definitely a great role model.

This is the story of undersea friends. The characters are cute and appealing but the stories don't do much for me. I don't really like the color palette (turquoise and yellow) and do not find the characters endearing. But I am not the audience! I will have to try reading it with a child and see if
Show More
the book appeals to them.
