letter is the name of a bear. They say the name of the bear and they have a little poem about what that bear likes to do. This book deals with the alphabet, rhyming and seeing how the letter is used in a paragraph. For preschoolers/kindergartners I would bring in my puppet bear and have him read the book to them. Once we read the book I'll see if the children remember the order of the alphabet and I'll write it on the board. Then they will come up with names beginning with the letter of their last name and the most unique name will be the new name of my puppet bear. Show Less

children pick their favorite animal and have them make a name from each letter of the alphabet. students could draw pictures of their animal underneath each name and draw it different colors for each letter. This is a nice warm book for younger children to learn the Alphabets. The photos are detailed and the bears are living lifes' twists and turns and just plain ol' life.
