George takes a tour of the alphabet with the man in the yellow hat. He needs to learn to make words using the alphabet. As always he is too curious for his own good!! This was a silly book that would be very helpful for the very young learning the alphabet.

This books starts out the same as all Curious George books with George being curious. He wants to know what the marks inside the books are. HE begins to eat them and the man with the yellow hat stops him. The man with the yellow hat teaches George the letters of the alphabet and also how to blend

the letters to make words. He then illustrates the letters by using different things that George was familiar with like an alligator for "A". Teaching the alphabet.

I love Curious George. But this is not a typical Curious George story. He doesn't get into trouble, or meet new people, or do new things. He is just getting a lesson on the alphabet from the man in the big yellow hat. But that's okay, because life isn't an endless series of adventures...sometimes

one has to sit down and learn a thing or two. And that's what this book does. Otherwise, it's a typical "a is for apple, b is for bear" type book, nothing new. But using the signature Curiouis George look is enough to entice a new reader to learn a thing or two. Having the tape to read along with is good, so that if there is not enough "adult" to go around, a student can follow along with the tape on his own.

This book is very imaginitive in the way that they turn letters into objects that beging with that letter. For example they turn the letter 'G' into a goose. Very creative and cute.

Cute story where Curious George learns about the alphabet with his good friend, the man in the yellow hat. He draws pictures that help George remember the letter and how it's written.

This is a cute story about a curious monkey, George, and his curiosity at the little black marks in books, letter. His friend, the man in the yellow hat, tells him that to read a book you have to learn the letters first and begins to teach him the letters. He writes the letter and then draws a

picture to go along with the letter, the picture is something that starts with that letter and will help him remember the letter. He also puts the letters together to make words. This book is great when teaching the alphabet and teaching children to read simple words like cat. It is great as a read aloud and also for independent reading time.

This book is a series of books by Margret and H.A. Reys that uses a little monkey named George and his caretaker, the man with the yellow hat. The monkey is a very curious monkey by nature and gets into different situations. However, this book is a little different in that George is not getting

into mischief but rather learning the ABC's. Each letter is placed into an animal or a part of nature. Each page uses alliteration to tell what each letter stands for. I like this book because of the alliteration instead of the normal A is for alligator books. I could use this book in a Pre-K classroom and even a nursery classroom to include the church setting. Starting you with the children gives them more time to absorb the lesson.
