I would recommend this book for a classroom. It offers information that could be used on a report about Mr. Lincoln, and how he got his whiskers. The book was about a little girl, Grace, who wrote a letter to Mr. Lincoln asking him to grow his facial hair. The president then grew his facial hair

This is a very cute little story based on letters sent between Abraham Lincoln and Grace Bedell about growing whiskers to look more affectionate. I love this story and think it gives a completely different look at Mr. Lincoln then what is usually taught and is very relatable to students.
