Window on the World presents a comprehensive but concise summary of peoples from around the world that the Christian community is trying to reach. It is written in a way that children can easily understand, and each entry is short enough that a family can share in specific prayer each night while

learning about children in different parts of the world. Even a country with such a complex history as Afghanistan is explained to children in an accurate and compelling way that will interest young readers and give them a “window” into the life of a child in that country. Each country or people group is allotted about 2 pages, enough to allow for some understanding but not so much as to be overwhelming. Window on the World is a perfect guide for parents to lead their children in prayer for others. The photos, illustrations, and layout are well-suited and well-designed with smiling children and bright colors and little boxes of interesting facts. The style of writing is like storytelling rather than encyclopedic, using anecdotes featuring children. Adults too will learn of people they likely never heard of before. I highly recommend this book for families who pray together and for teachers in churches or Christian schools.
