I have to note that these books (this is my second Bobbsey Twins book) really annoy me. I'd expect a certain amount of sexism and gender stereotyping from a book out of the sixties, but Flossy comes across as a three year old rather than a six year old, while her twin Freddy is at the center of
Anyway, the Bobbsey twins are searching for a few missing items in a house that's about to be torn down. They look and look and can't get anything from their muddled clues. The twins aren't the only ones looking- someone keeps showing up in the house, and neighborhood bully Danny comes around, too. It's up to the two sets of twins, their friends, and a cat to solve the mystery.
