Summary: This book is about a brother and sister and how they fight all the time. It talks about the consequences of fighting. It goes over the things you should not do as well as tips on how to avoid fighting in the future. It goes over what compromising is.

when this was added to our personal library at home or where I got it. I feel like we must of been given to us and or picked it up at a garage sale. Where I realize all the tips are good and they are correct in all the things we should not do, I just do not like the way the book is written over all. I don't feel like it would capture the attention of the children. There is a lot of negative annotation at the beginning of the book with the "Never do anything to hurt yourself or another person. Do not hit, kick, bite, pinch, or pull anyone's hair." Although that is very true, I feel like there might be another way to say this, make the point, keep the children's attention and not be so negative about it. I do really like the illustrations however. They are the only thing I think might keep a child's interest.

Classroom Extension: We could talk about bullying, fighting, being nice and so forth. I would look for other similar books and turn this into a lesson on how we do and don't treat others. We would go over how we feel when someone makes us mad, how to handle that, how we feel when sad, what makes us sad, and how we feel when happy, and what things make us happy.
