Description

With Adam Hamilton, we have traced the life of Jesus from his birth The Journey, through his ministry The Way, to his death and resurrection 24 Hours That Changed the World. What happened next? Follow the journeys of Paul, beginning with his dramatic conversion, as he spread the Gospel through modern-day Greece and Turkey. Travel to the early church sites and explore Paul's conversations with the Romans, Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Thessalonians. In this six-week study, you are invited to experience faith through Christ's greatest teacher and missionary.

A very good study in Paul and his life, focusing on the historical aspects of Paul and especially his missionary journeys. It does include some reflection as well on theological issues around Paul's writing. Hamilton has done a good job researching, as well as writing, this study. This is a great

study for small groups, but be sure everyone has a Bible to follow along between the historical information in Acts and the information in Paul's letters, especially Galatians and Romans. I recommend, if facilitating this study, using the accompanying DVD (which seems to be only available as a separate purchase). It is good and gives good visual support, especially for folks who have never been to that part of the world. The only issues that I found with this: it seems to take about 2 hours for each lesson and I am using in a format for one hour, so each lesson takes two sessions. Also, his dates tend to be a little off from what many scholars indicate - of course, no one has definitive dates for these anyway. A really good study on Paul
