Quite simply, the pre-discovery bible for Titanic buffs, covering in detail the era, the voyage, the sinking and the courtroom aftermath in both the British and American inquiries. A scholarly work with a treasure trove of information, especially in the discussion in 1912 of the real possibility of both the Titanic having broken in two (true) and having suffered smashed in plating and popped rivets (true) as opposed to the “official” account of a intact sinking as a result of a 300ft gash (both incorrect)..
