My interest in New Urbanism is high, but it wasn't high enough to sustain deep interest in this tome. I appreciate a breakdown of New Urbanism's 27 tenets, with an essay to explore each one, but the readability was so low. I'm an outsider, with a casual interest in creating better cities, so perhaps if I was a developer or a town planner this would be more useful. For compelling persuasion instead of dry explanation, I'd recommend Craving Community: The New American Dream.
