Description

Book Three in the Keepsake Legacies Series. Nora's memories of her first years on the prairie are as bright and colorful as the buttons she collected for her charm string. Gentlemen bought unusual buttons to give to their young lady friends, and young women traded them. Nora's collection weaves the story of a courageous young woman who learned lessons of faith, hope, and love on the American frontier. In the spirit of Sarah's Patchwork and Karyn's Memory Box, best-selling author Stephanie Grace Whitson continues the Keepsake Legacies Series with a heartwarming story of a young woman who finds lasting happiness during pioneer days in Nebraska.

As one reviewer said so well, this is a "heartwarming story of a young woman who finds lasting happiness during pioneer days in Nebraska". This is the third book in this series and could easily be read as a stand alone, but it does weave in other characters from other stories throughout the book,

which I always enjoy.

Nora O'Dell is 15 when she runs away from her father's farm and heads to Lincoln, Nebraska. She may be young, but she is strong in spirit and willings to work. Although her first job will be less than desirable, she will eventually find her talent with a needle and thread and become a very important seamstress at Thornhill Dressers. But Nora will find her success in the business world does not satisfy her heart which is lonely and longing for something more. She thought that something more might be the handsome actor, Greyson Chandler, who seems to be interested in her. Things will change, Nora will move again, get deathly ill and find the peace and contentment she was longing for in the personal relationship she will find with her Lord. And in the midst of this, true love will be found.

Hated to see this series end. All three books were very interesting and kept me thinking about the story long after I closed the books. I will look forward to reading more stories by this author.
