the end of the 90's, she and her investigative partner Rene do things the old fashioned way--lots of legwork, not too many toys. Aimee's mother has mysteriously disappeared. A body and a clue lead Aimee down many rabbit holes, involving some old friends of her mother's in the business and what is current for the time in the Cote d'Ivoire. Really interesting, unique characters and well written, I am glad I gave this a chance.
