Description

Robert Neville is the last human survivor in what is left of New York City. A pandemic has left only 1% of the population alive and most of those who survived are no longer human. The infected, now lurking in the shadows, watch Neville's every move. Perhaps mankind's last, best hope, Neville is driven by the only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood.

This movie was well done with excellent special effects, but didn't really go anywhere. It has some action, but I would not call it an action-packed adventure thriller. It was not terrible. If you are looking for a not-so-intense post apocalyptic survival film with mutants, you might enjoy it.

The 4.5 rating is given with the alternate ending in mind, the theatrical version (while still servicable) is a good half-star weaker.

A lone plague survivor lives in a zombie-infested New York City.

3/4 (Good).

I remember absolutely hating this ending when the movie first came out. But watching it now, in a post-J.J. Abrams world, it doesn't seem bad enough to ruin the movie. It's a terrible ending, but it is an ending.
