The author, Barrie Levy, is an M.S.W. , active in the movement to prevent violence against women for 25 years, has edited and co-written several books, and teaches at UCLA in the Department of Social Welfare and Women's Studies. Even though one might think that this is a high school and up issue, the book's interviews reflect that dating violence can start as early as 13 and continues through adulthood.
