Not a bad little collection of articles from the feminist/lesbian newspaper, 'The Furies'. One on Queen Christina, one on Emily Dickinson, one on Dona Cataline De Erauso, and on Susan B. Anthony, one on Gertrude Stein, one on Anne Bonny and Mary Read (the reason I picked it up), and an article on
It was an okay collection and it had interesting and slightly different viewpoints about some of the women, but perhaps because at the time I was reading it (2011-2012) although not perfect, the history books aren't quite as male centric and totally hetero-normative (although even in 2014 they still have a long, long, long way to go).
Still, even with its extreme feminist herstory viewpoint I found even more books referenced within that I plan to read I hope, and the theories were very very interesting.
