Victor became a vampire in the time of Jesus. Now, his wicked heart desires something more than just killing and defiling. He wants a companion. Paul arrives at the monastary where Victor "lives" as a monk to help create an illuminated manuscript. He quickly falls prey to Victor, becoming his

thrall. But, when the time comes, will Victor destroy him or keep him? Very good and original series in which vampires are evil.

Wow, amazing book, its hard to believe it was writen by a man of the cloth.

While a lover of vampire gay erotica since "Interview," I really didn't enjoy this series at all. It's just a bit too violent and too over-the-top for me. Not a religious person here, but Schiefelbein's constant pounding upon Christianity was a bit much even for me.

The second book of a trilogy. Brilliantly Written. As in the first novel there is no lack of charecter depth. And if you like stuff a little on the erotic side (not too eritoc) you'll love this. Can't wait to read the last book.

Second in a series. This one has the vampire Victor creating a thrall out of illustrator Paul. Paul is in Rome illuminating a had done verison of the Bible. Slowly but surely the pair fall in love.
