Balloon Cat is not a nice cat. He's angry. He's so angry that he has become puffed up with anger. He doesn't want to help clean up because he's too puffed up with anger. He doesn't want to share his things with his sister because he's too puffed up with anger. In the end, he is so puffed up with

anger that he is a hot air balloon and floats away. The story ends with his Mother Cat crying out to him from her rooftop. We aren't really sad that he has floated away. We do not miss such an angry cat. Let him float away for a while and maybe he won't get quite so puffy next time.
