Personal Response: I thought this book was short, simple and to the point. I liked that there's was a more detailed description of the meaning of Kwanzaa at the back of the book.

Classroom Extention:
1. Children will paint with the three colors associated with Kwanzaa.

2. Children will learn the names of seven principles celebrated durning Kwanzaa in the African language.
