The writing is going to win any awards, however, the story line was interesting through the 633 pages (although at times predictable). Definitely a Chic Lit book in both writing style and plot line.

My copy is actually called Those Faraday Girls and has a different cover, must be a country orientated thing. I received this book for Christmas so haven't read it yet. I'm guessing it will be similar to other books by this author so an easy read about a group of people with a few problems that all

come together in the end. Am looking forward to reading it, maybe whilst I'm away on holiday this week.

I find that the reviews i tend to write also happened to be about books that i think would make GREAT films. This is no exception!! it is truly a story that will grab you right away and spin you into the web of the family. I would hope that if they do make this into a film that they stay true to

This is a heartfelt story about a close family. The first few chapters were a little slow for me, but I kept reading and I am so glad I did. I felt a connection with the characters and found myself rooting for each one. This is a warm story about the secrets we keep and the things we do for the

ones we love. I highly recommend it.

A clever, intriguing story that really draws you in. Anyone from a large family would be able to relate to some of the issues within. The character of the father is so true of many Australian men who escape to their sheds to avoid the harder aspects of child-raising (especially daughters!). It has

humour and drama and the well-drawn characters you associate with Monica Mcinerney

One of my favorite books of 2007.

I really enjoyed this book and loved reading about all of the family dynamics and the relationships among the sisters. I was also really pleased that there were some unresolved issues at the end of the book and that there was some ugliness and jealousy between the sisters.

This book had another slow start. The interesting thing that I found as I read is that the family relationships are complicated, like real family relationships. The further I read in the book the more I tended to think that they are exaggerated. There is something missing from this book and I can't

figure out what it is. It may be that the author is trying to have 7 main characters and isn't succeeding. Eliza is a very flat character and not realistic. Perhaps the amount of time the author has spent on Eliza is part of the description of how she wants us to think of Eliza? I think this book would have been more successful if she had used each characters voice for a different chapter. She does that a little bit, but I think it would be made the book better if she had done it more. Still it is entertaining.
