Description

Time of Hopeis the third in the Strangers and Brothersseries and tells the story of Lewis Eliot's early life. As a child he is faced with his father's bankruptcy. As a young man, he finds his career at the Bar hindered by a neurotic wife. Separation from her is impossible however.

family bankruptcy to chelsea respectability, and the ability of love, obsession and illness to drive precarious gains wildly off course. At the same time, we see the grasp Snow has of organisational and personal politics, ambition and professional careers, in full flow.
