A fantastic book! This book is a compendium of over 100 games - both board games and outdoor games, formal and less formal. Each game comes with rules and instructions to how to make your own: for example with go, there's a how-to for building a proper go table. This book is for the arts & crafts

people, the instructions aren't always easy!

What's best about this book in my opinion is the pictures: the book is full of really charming photographs of people around the world playing their games. That's real game culture, and few books capture that. This is an excellent addition to any board game library.

I absolutely love this book. It was a release for me when I was in college. I would grab it off of the shelf when I needed a break from studying. Now I have my own copy and have made a few of the games myself. It is filled with great information and is really enjoyable.
