A devotional companion for those following the Revised Lectionary, Year B.

is then given for the Old Testament reading for the week. The Psalm of response is listed but no commentary given; then there is patristic commentary on the New Testament and Gospel readings for the week. The reading then concludes with another prayer, generally from a sacramentary.

The reader must pay attention because the church year calendar will vary annually, and so some readings might get out of order. I would have liked to have seen patristic commentary on the psalm readings, but alas. A good resource overall.
