This is the classic Reader's Digest complete Do-it-yourself Manual brought up to date for the 90's to comply with more modern standards and tastes in décor.
No expense has been spared in this edition, with full colour splashed onto every single page throughout the entire book. In fact, to avoid any
Out with the avocado suite and in with the walk-in shower room and wood burning stove, neural magnolia painted walls and (if you can squeeze it in) a home office.
Keen-eyed readers may notice that this is in fact a much revised and updated version of the earlier Reader's Digest New D-I-Y Manual published in 1987. But, nonetheless for that it has served me very well over the years, especially on electrical wiring jobs and plumbing.
A very handy book; about the size of a Church Bible and sturdy enough to stand on in case you don't have a set of steps handy! ;)

I was just about ready to toss this old door-stop but then realized, hey, I live in an OLD house! This book is a good starting point, but the interweb is going to be much more useful.
