Many people may have missed Monkey Puzzle, but this is again a wonderful story by the author of the Gruffalo.

The baby monkey's exasperation at the butterfly's utter failure to identify mama monkey is pretty funny. (Plus, can the butterfly really not remember instructions from one animal to the next?) And it's brightly illustrated. But otherwise this one just didn't do it for me.

A lovely story that raises the issue of metamorphosis and teaches children about the ways we can describe animals.
