The story line here is very funny, and our kindergarten kids enjoy it. Michael Martchenko's illustrations are wickedly satirical, and even a bit cruel to well-meaning kindergarten teachers. The pictures really make the book a winner. Highly recommended.

It is the first day of kindergarten and Amanda and Jeremiah are having trouble with sharing. The teacher tells them that in kindergarten, we share everything. Amanda and Jeremiah take their teacher literally and they think of what they can share. They start with their shoes. Then they trade their

shirts and finally their pants. They show their teacher that they share and she is proud at first, then she realizes they shared clothing, which she does not say, is ok. However, the students respond that in kindergarten, we share everything.
