Description
One decision + two different paths = how many happy endings? Have you ever wondered 'What if...'' What if you'd taken that other job, gone on a date with that sweet guy, moved to a different city? Would an alternative life path have led to a happier ending? Now imagine if you could have taken both paths... When Bea Bishop slips while walking down the aisle on her wedding day, she is momentarily knocked unconscious. And in a flash, her world splits and two separate parallel lives take her on two very different journeys. In one, Bea flees back down the aisle and out of the church. In the other, she glides blissfully towards Adam, her intended. Each path will take her on a very different journey. And each will see her life change for better and for worse. But which story will lead to her happy-ever-after?… (more)
User reviews
It is not always clear which story is
Through both versions we learn that due to past experiences Bea finds life and in particular decision making difficult and gradually we learn why and how she comes to be such a fragile individual.
Her mother Loni is a lovely character hiding her own past in an effort to protect both Bea and her brother Cal.
This is a fun light read but within it there are themes such as depression which are dealt with sensitively and realistically. It is a bit long in places and I did find myself getting rather bored by the end but wanted to know how it would be resolved. There are times when all of us must wonder if we could change an earlier decision and this book shows what may happen if you do go down a different path.
The reader is often torn between which version is the 'right' one for Bea and like life it's not always clear which way she would want.
