magic and now has a grumpy dormouse called Bramley as a familiar.

It's during the English Civil War, here it's a war about witchcraft and about the control of magic. It's complicating things and there are demons involved in it all and things are never predictable.

She joins with some demon hunters to rescue her mother, but how well can she keep her secrets.

I didn't really feel like I got to know many of the characters, except Hazel and Bramley and I want more Bramley.
