This is another greatly illustrated book. The ducks (and ducklings) remind me of feeding the ducks at the rhododendron gardens with my grandma when I was young. Looks like it could have been done with colored pencil and then filled in with water colors perhaps..?

navigated across the drain; though this became an obstacle for the ducklings. There was a person nearby whom noticed the emergency and began notifying emergency personnel to assist with the rescue. Civilians were alarmed by the commotion and began forming a rescue group. Once the ducklings were rescued, the mother joined her babies and resumed their stroll.
I find this to be a lovely tale that makes the reader reflect on their humanity. This tale is a great example of common people's willingness to offer their assistance in a moment of crisis; in this case, the helplessness of the ducklings. It frames the condition of the human spirit.
