Clarice Bean is worried about a lot of things- the spelling bee, her part in the school play, and her friend, Karl Wrenbury. She’s studying the dictionary, taking acting, and trying to solve a mystery like Ruby Redfort. In the end she discovers Karl’s secret, helps him out, and misses out on

This book is absulutly woderful because Clarice gets to be in her favorite Telivision show but she didn't even know she was in it until she walked in to the eggplant store. Read this book because it is terrific and funny with a blast of a ton of vocabulary by READING this wonderful

I think that this book was pretty good! This book was pretty interesting to see how Clarice Bean and her friends deal with problems. Everytime she doesn't know what to do she refers back to her favorite female dectective Ruby Redford. Clarice and her friends are pretty imature. She whines when she

doesn't get her way and she is just pretty childish. But, I think that there is a Clarice Bean in all of us. Clarice bean is defenately "exceptionordinary".

To sum up this book, Clarice is a young girl who tries to be good. But she feels the need to help a friend to avoid he getting transferred to another school. his book is a good example of friendship but overall, could have been better written. Also the voice in the story is fairly accurate.

Clarice Bean has a very distinctive voice! Ms. Child's does an excellent job of capturing the thoughts and actions of Clarice Bean in a realistic way. Clarice and Clementine should get together and compare notes one day. They're both very observant and the "tell it like it is". There were

definitely moments in the story where you had to chuckle at Clarice's honesty.
I was disappointed with the ending. As a parent and teacher I wanted the moral of the story to be a little different. But overall it was a fun book to read.

This is a charming story about friendship and never letting a good friend down. Clarice Bean always seems to be getting into trouble. Her teacher is planning a spelling bee and Clarice gets a tummy ache just thinking about having to be in it. Her friend has a family problem and gets into really big

trouble. Clarice tries to come to his rescue.

This is another captivating tale about the life of Clarice Bean. Again, this novel is one I would start with second grade and stop at fifth. Lauren Child has a very creative mind and I like that her writing style for Clarice never changes. You feel as if you've known Clarice her whole life. This is definitely a great book that teaches children about the importance of friendship.
