This book would be good for learning about a bug life cycle, I think it would be fun to have a caterpillar in the class to watch it grow into a butterfly and then set it free.

A good read aloud for young children. Caterpillar wishes he could fly like Bumblebee, Sparrow and Butterfly, but he does not have wings. Bumblebee and Sparrow let him know he can’t because he’s not built to fly. Butterfly is more hopeful and tells him maybe one day he will. The illustrations in

the book are beautiful and are filled with large brightly colored images. This book would be a great introduction to learning about a caterpillar’s life cycle. Show Less
