Norway, historical-research, suspense

Disclaimer: we geek history, live in Wisconsin, still have family in Norway, have some pieces of Hardanger and Rosemaling, and love fiddle music (think Greig).

a directive from her mother. Once in Norway Chloe and her beloved become involved in episodes of murder, attempted murder, theft, and some rather frightening psychic episodes in addition to enjoying the beautiful land of the Norse. Of course I loved it!

Worst vacation ever!! Well, not quite, but pretty close. Still, the descriptions of Hardanger, Norway, were fascinating, and the plots had me fully engaged. I really appreciated the transitions/connections between the chapters that went from the "present day" to the historical storylines. Also an

interesting commentary on how the everyday people of Hardanger felt being studied by ethnologists and other scholars.
