Art of the Warrior: Leadership and Strategy from the Chinese Military Classics (Shambhala Dragon Editions)

This is a collection and translation of eight classics of martial literature from China which seeks to help manage forms of human conflict. The passages are arranged thematically from the basic principles of strategy to specific tactics for conflict resolution, accompanied by Sawyer's own analysis. It brings together the history and heritage of conflict from battlefield tactics to the principles of leadership and strategy and aims to be a significant contribution to the study of traditional Chinese socio-political thought.
