This is just like the story Click Clack Moo, except this time the farm animals want to have a Halloween Party. Problem is, Farmer Brown does not like Halloween because he gets scared. He ends up going to the party and winning the costume party. This is a funny story to read to children around

This Halloween story is fun and gentle. This story stars farm animals rather than the farmer. It is a very easy read for a new reader and a fun read for a read aloud or an experience reader. I would see this book as a good book for siblings to their younger siblings.
I used this book for a shared

reading lesson plan in one of my other classes. This book worked very well for this type of lesson because it has big words, fun letter styles and a cute story for the holiday. This shared reading lesson plan worked very well with our students, they were able to read the words quickly and correctly. They were also able to do the objectives that were set for the students from the start. I would definitely use this book in my classroom again.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book to myself and aloud with a class. The illustration kept my attention and the attention of my students. Watercolor illustration is my favorite type of illustration for children’s books. This is yet another reason why I really enjoyed this book.

This book was absolutely one of the cutest Halloween books I have read in a long time. I really enjoyed reading this book and will end up buying this book in the future. The best thing I liked about this book was the characters. Even thought the

animals were personified, I felt that they were all believable. Even down to the farmer who did not like Halloween and was really scared. He seemed like on of the people who did not like the idea of Halloween but would still leave candy on the door step for trick-or-treaters. I really enjoyed the illustrations as well. They were done perfectly to accompany the story. There were a lot of repeating phrases that added to the story, especially the phrases about the noises coming from the animals walking to the party in the barn. The plot was very enticing. The farmer had no idea what was going on at night and was scared. Meanwhile it was the animals the whole time inviting the farmer to the party and walking across the yard. I was really drawn into the story this way from the plot. I enjoyed the message shared throughout the book as well too; don't let your imagination get the best of you.

It's Halloween, and Farmer Brown retreats to his house, frightened of everything to do with the holiday. The animals on his farm, by contrast, are having a blast at their party in the barn. The crunch-crunch-crunching of the mice, as they scurry across the field to the party; the

creak-creak-creaking of the sheep, as they open the barn door; the tap-tap-tapping of the cats, as they knock for admittance - all of it keeps the good farmer up. But when he hears a knocking at his door, and then a suspicious quacking, he decides to investigate, finding himself a surprise prize-winner at the party...

Like so many of its predecessors, Click, Clack, Boo! is a humorous, goodhearted delight of a picture-book, pairing an engaging tale from author Doreen Cronin with appealing artwork from illustrator Betsy Lewin. The animals on Farmer Brown's farm continue to amuse, with their independent ways, and scheming Duck (always my favorite character!), manages to once again inveigle Farmer Brown into his plans. I continue to enjoy these stories about the animals of Farmer Brown's barnyard, which is no small feat, considering that this is the eleventh title I have read in the series. Recommended to anyone looking for fun Halloween picture-books, as well as to those who have enjoyed other stories about these characters.
