Description

Fiction. Literature. Romance. HTML:In this captivating novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Danielle Steel, a wildly successful, unmarried wedding planner leads her clients to happily ever after. Faith Ferguson is New York??s most in-demand wedding planner, an arbiter of taste for elegant affairs, lavish ceremonies, and exclusive fêtes. She appreciates a simple celebration as much as a dazzling event, for she knows that a dream wedding is not necessarily the most expensive one. As much as Faith enjoys her work, her two failed engagements leave her with no desire to get married herself. She finds fulfillment in her close relationship with her twin sister, Hope, her role as a mentor for her assistant, Violet, and her career.  This year, new clients have flocked to her, and she signs up an extravagant reception, a mid-sized gathering, and an intimate soirée, in addition to her mother??s next marriage and Violet??s modest ceremony. Faith finds herself forming bonds with her new clients and their loved ones??most notably the handsome brother of one of her grooms. But weddings are not always all champagne and roses, and in no time, Faith is grappling with private quarrels, unplanned pregnancies, family scandals, dark secrets, and the possibility of cancelled ceremonies. Through her own journey, Faith will prove once and for all that there is not just one path to happily ever after. In The Wedding Planner, Danielle Steel presents an enchanting story about the winding road to love and the many ways to find joy while staying… (more)

The Wedding Planner by Danielle Steel has Faith Ferguson planning three very different weddings. Faith is one of the most sought after wedding planners. You can always count on Faith to plan every detail of a wedding and to make the event magical for the couple. Faith may plan weddings, but she has

no interest in getting married. I found The Wedding Planner to be easy to read. This is one of those stories that is a nice break from reality. I enjoyed the descriptions of the weddings that Faith created for each couple. She certainly came up with some creative ideas. There were two that were over-the-top while another was elegant. Weddings bring out the drama in families. Mothers want one thing while the bride wants another (or a groomzilla). Faith gets to hear it all and must tread a fine line (it would not do to take one side over the other). Faith’s twin, Hope is the opposite of Faith. She has a loving husband and a large, noisy family. In addition, Faith’s assistant is getting married, and Faith’s mother is walking down the aisle for the fourth time. There are a variety of personalities along with a diverse set of social issues (an abusive relationship, a charming gay couple who plan to have a child through a surrogate, and an unplanned pregnancy). There is repetition of backstory details that is typical in this author’s books. I enjoyed the upbeat ending that left me smiling. The Wedding Planner is a lovely afternoon diversion. The Wedding Planner is an escapist story with a prosperous wedding planner, a groomzilla surgeon, fireworks on the fourth, adoption quandary, a winter wedding, a jubilant twin, and happily ever after.

working for her.
Hope is happily married with 4 kids in CT. Their mother is remarrying and they dread meeeting the foreigner....
Love the details and how much time she spends NOT only on the wedding preps but with the ocuples to find out what's really important to them.
She is so tangled up with the people that she becomes their family in some cases. She is able to rescue them. She finds one she coud love but wants NO wedding. Love the solution.
So many couples problems and love how it all works out for them all. Love all the detailed descriptions and travel to different locations and all the different age groups and their problems.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).
