The author, Christopher Maynard tries to make it sound more interesting by interviewing some of the actual people who played influential roles in their revolutions like George Washington (American Revolution) and Mao Zedong (Chinese Revolution). I give the book 5 out of 5 because of its great illustrations, its interesting lay out, and its for its historical information.

I really liked the layout of this book. It made it particularly easy to browse through the different revolutions. The book being oversized and laid out like a bound newspaper gave it a feel of being informative. The book was engaging, and would be a great addition to a middle school social studies
