I feel much of the information in this book may be outdated. That being said, it is still a fine work that can lay the basic foundation for further archaeological pursuits. I would not recommend this book to a budding archaeologist, simply because there must be hundreds of books with newer, more

current information on the field. I would, however recommend this book to any and everyone else searching for some (slightly above) general knowledge of the subject. It is wonderfully written and easy to understand. Show Less
