was the start of reading and rereading a very scarce, useful and accurate reminder of previous inhabitants along one of Vermont's most interesting rivers.

This is a great book for the neophyte archeologist and is a good stepping stone to some of the publications of the Vermont Historical Society such as "The Middle Woodland Ceramics of the Winooski Site A.D. 1-1000". Give it a read and begin your search into the past.
