Description
Whether you are planning to attend astrology classes or complete your certification, the American Ephemeris is an absolute necessity for hand-calculating charts or tracking transits. With Astro's high standards of accuracy and the very latest data from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, this reference book is the most accurate ephemeris in the world and an indispensable part of every astrologer's library. In addition to planetary positions for every day, it includes a wealth of data including solar and lunar eclipses, an aspectarian of Jupiter through Pluto, Chiron positions, Synetic Vernal Point, Moon phases and more!

These days of Internet access and the diverity of resources on the Web, a hard copy of an ephemeris may seem totally unnecessary. However, I like to do transits for horary astrology, and I find that an ephemeris in my hand, where I can physically trace planetary movements and compare them as I go
This ephemeris obviously has a limited time frame--50 years--but that's more than enough. In addition, its time reference is midnight rather than noon. In these days of computer-generated charts, that's no problem. For the purposes for which I use the ephemeris, it's immaterial.
The format is standard, giving planetary longitudes from the Sun through Pluto for each month of the year. Tables at the bottom of each page give Chiron's position as well as planetary aspects, the Moon's ingress into a sign, and Moon phases and eclipses. I have found it extraordinarily useful, an excellent complement to Internet generated charts and other resources.
