surprising portion of the book focuses on myths and legends surrounding Stonehenge and the archaeology of the monument. No prior knowledge of Stonehenge is assumed but some understanding of astronomy is expected and I found the key chapters on the astronomical theory difficult to follow. A recommended read for those interested in the development of archaeological ideas around Stonehenge. Show Less
