Very detailed biography written like a novel. I am assuming much of the details came from the journal of Ye Lui Kutsai; the journal of Friar William is quoted at the end of the book. I never read or studied about Genghis Khan before and amazed this greatest conqueror of the world was never

incorporated into my (public school) education--Genghis Khan was a far greater leader and conqueror than Alexander the Great. Some of the details were a little too graphic or gruesome for me and might be also for younger or sensitive children. Show Less
