The book did not seem very good and the narrator sounded like a sports announcer, emphasizing arbitrary words, with vigor. I can't think of anything I learned and I frequently thought to myself, "That is a misrepresentation of what I know to be correct." There seemed to be no base at all beneath

the polemical bits. I enjoyed the guide to English and American Literature in this series a whole lot more. There was much more there there. But I intend to read it anyway, to see if it's really as bad as I thought it was.
