Another self-centered man. Still, despite his incredible childishness, by the end of the book he had grown up a little. Not as much detail about his adventures as I would have enjoyed.

Great story of the author's travels in the far north.

self centered? perhaps, i dont know the author on an intimate level. but his book was quite good. normally autobiographical outdoor writing isnt the easiest stuff to read, but this one flowed pretty nicely.

This book bothered me a lot. I am not a PETA person at all, but I do not believe in abusing dogs, or any other animal, for sport. The description and lack of compassion was all I could take away from the book.
