Aging Out: With No Direction Home

Thomas Hudson, a 20-year-old African American, survived sexual abuse and several suicide attempts. He grew up without a family and aged out with nowhere to go. Still, he finishes high school and in spite of many obstacles, finds work. He bounces around from place to place and from job to job and starts over again in Chicago, hoping to maintain his fragile independence and success.
