BRAND NEW!! “Foster Parents Speak: Real Talk About Partnership and Building Community” is a thirty-minute video that explores today’s reality of foster parenting and the importance of working in partnership with parents in the best interest of children.
Produced in 2018, the thirty-minute film is a “re-boot” of the original, award-winning Foster Parents Speak: Crossing Bridges and Fostering Change video that has been used around the world recruit and train foster parents and to enlighten others about the realities of foster parenting. As with the original, this new video is the result of a partnership between the Coalition and PhotoSynthesis Productions of Ithaca.
Produced in 2004, the original documentary, Foster Parents Speak: Crossing Bridges and Fostering Change has been the recipient of numerous awards including, Silver Hugo, INTERCOM/Chicago Film Festival, Honorable Mention, The Chris Awards.

Foster parents speak candidly about the challenges in developing and nurturing shared parenting relationships with birth families and professionals to benefit the children in their care. They share real life techniques and strategies for improving communication and cooperation to create partnerships that support children in the foster care system.
