she starts of really strong making the 'monkhood' of christians possible outside the cloister but then by the last three chapters, gets bogged down in 'preaching at us.' still a book i would read from the library; borrow it but not buy it.

This lovely book about the rule of Benedict served me well both as an introduction to the Rule and as ecellent material for reflection.
