This book is a good book to read to younger students. It talks about the importance of giving and how actions can impact how other people act.

This story is about a rabbit that finds an extra turnip during the cold winter. Rather than keeping the extra food, he decides to pass it on to his friend Donkey. Donkey has enough food for the winter and decides to pass the turnip on to Goat. The story continues with the animals looking out for

each other and passing the turnip on if they do not need it. At the end the Rabbit gets the turnip back and the sharing has been done full circle. The end of the story is a picture of all the animals sharing the extra turnip. This is a great story to show children how to pass on kindness. The story is predictable and has some parts that repeat which makes it a good story for children to join in while you read. The pictures are simple but very well done. There are Chinese symbols for each of the animals that are apart of the page boarders. This would be a great art project for students after reading the book.
