When Charles, the current detective, encounters a case he can't crack, he agrees to mentor Goldie in exchange for her help solving the mystery.

Goldie -- smart, fearless, gifted in her ability to drive fast cars and scrape her way out of trouble. A sweet romance is developing with the girl at the record store, and Goldie and her father keep their Florida resort running. Reminiscent of Archie's and Nancy Drew, but beautifully updated.

A pretty decent read. Along the lines of Nancy Drew, Goldie Vance is an intrepid girl detective. Since it is a graphic novel, the mystery is less complicated, but I feel that it became a little too dumbed-down. The mystery is so-so, but the relationships are interesting! Just as I was getting

invested in the characters, the volume ended! Now I need to wait for volume 2 to get released...

This graphic novel series is going to be a delight. Goldie Vance is a mixed teenage girl who works at a hotel with her father. She parks cars and her father manages it (her parents are divorced). In her spare time she works for a detective agency in the building tracking down missing toddlers, lost

bathing suits, and more. Things start to get interesting when a man reports a missing necklace and Goldie and her colleagues (fellow co-workers and the cute girl from the record store she has a crush on) realize that there is a lot more to the necklace then meets the eye. The missing necklace escalates to kidnapping, grand theft auto, and men in helicopters. It's a lot of fun and teens will eat up this Nancy Drew-esque spin off.

Yeah, okay. I may have just fallen in love with my new favorite comic series. This is so diverse, I love all the characters so much, and I didn't know I needed this as much as I did until I read it on a whim and instantly fell in love. It gives off big Nancy Drew Vibes and I'm 100% here for it.

It was a good story and great illustrations. Basically Goldie and her dad work at a hotel and she is the valet. However, her side job is P.I. Good case and definitely a lot of action. She is definitely a younger version of Kinsey Milone (Alphabet series by Sue Grafton). I'm glad I read it but won't

be reading anymore of the series. It didn't grab me like some other graphic novels do.

[insert heart eyes emoji here, like, elventy times] I loooooooved this. The art is so fun and Goldie is delightful and it hits all the same notes for me that the Eloise books hit when I was little: hotels, girls running the place behind the scenes, friendship, smarts, ADVENTURE. Moar pls.

Very cute! The art is cutesy, too, without feeling too artificial. Goldie is likable, as is the rest of the cast. The German scientist bit is out of left field, and it doesn't really conclude, but this is just the first part. I'm satisfied for now.

Goldie Vance is a sweet graphic novel that gives me old school Nancy Drew vibes.

I love a fun graphic novel, especially one with lots of spunk like this one! Goldie lives in her Father's resort, and she's great at getting into shenanigans. She's really good at solving tiny cases, like missing

jewelry within the hotel. When a bigger mystery comes about, she decides to help a detective solve it since her curiosity is just too high!

Goldie is spunky and fun, everything you want in a character like this. She reminds me of Nancy Drew, Cam Jansen, and those other fun books from my childhood! Except this time, it's in graphic novel form! I can easily see middle graders, young adults, new adults and just adults loving this story. There's really no set age group - it's just a fun mystery!

The illustrations were spectacular and super colourful. They drew my attention in and kept it there, alongside the excellent story. Throw in that this book also has a diverse cast and is LGBT friendly, and I'm even more excited.

Overall, this story was super sweet and cute!

Four out of five stars.
