This was a good book. The title doesn't have much to do with the book. Emily just makes silly fish faces. I thnk young readers would enjoy this book and others from the Polk Street School series becaue of how well they are able to connect with the characters.

Fish face is a good story with good values to teach young girls. Emily meets a new friend at school and hopes to make great friends and show her the famous fish face she can do. Although things go south when Emily finds out the new girl is a thief and she has to get everyone to believe her.

thought this was a cute story for young girls in the second to fourth grade age. It was too much for young readers in preschool and a little easy for high school kids. I did like the story and found myself laughing a good many times.

Extending this book would be easy with having children make their best fish face and pick whose is the best. Also older readers can have a discussing group and talk about the best ways to confront someone you think is a thief.

One of the Polk Street School books, this book continues to introduce the kids of the school and their challenges. This one focuses on what Emily must do when she discovers a new student is a thief. A fun way to approach a serious topic which should be discussed.

Charming book about 2nd graders and their school escapades.
Humorous ~~ children comparing themselves, making fun of others.
Always comes back to the good.
