Description

Start your day with the truths that have shaped lives for centuries. Along with Martin Luther, John Calvin, the great scholar and Christian leader, was one of the central figures in the Protestant Reformation. A year's worth of daily devotional readings taken from Calvin's commentaries and from Calvin's Institutes of the Christian Religion, Of Prayer, and On the Christian Life have been compiled here for inspiration and meditation. Each of the 365 selections includes a Bible passage and a devotional reading on that passage. Be encouraged as Calvin's profound insight, wisdom, and devotion reveal God's grace.Excerpts from Calvin's commentaries were taken from the work done in the mid 1800s by the Calvin Translation Society. Excerpts from Calvin's Institutes of the Christian Religion, Of Prayer, and On the Christian Life were taken from the work of Henry Beveridge (1845).… (more)
