Age: Intermediate
Genre: Informational
Review: This book tells the story of the first seeing-eye dog. It gives real accounts of the blind man who took Buddy under his wings and the learning process that happened. Because these events are real, it is an informational book.

I liked this book for a few reasons. First the illustrations helped with the mood of the book and made it interesting. The illustrations were made in a way that were kid friendly and at the end of the book they showed an actual photo of Morris and Buddy to show what they looked like in real life.

The other thing is that the plot of the story was interesting and engaging because it would keep you hooked and the information you learn about as you read in also fun. The book was made for the reader to learn about buddy and his life and how that lead to more Seeing Eye Dogs in the US. Show Less
